Welcome Back to School
Dear Carmel River School Families and Staff,
Whether you're returning to Carmel River School or joining us for the very first time, we're so glad you're here. The start of a new school year is always exciting, and we can't wait to see our campus filled with familiar faces, new friendships, and all the traditions that make Carmel River School such a special place.
Stay Informed - As parents ourselves, we know how busy this time of year can be. Between school emails, sports schedules, and everyday life, it can be hard to keep track of everything. That's why we're making it even easier to stay connected this year. Along with our website and Instagram, we're introducing the monthly PTO River Report Newsletter, where you'll find upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, celebrations, and PTO news—all in one place.
Visit www.riverpto.org and follow us on Instagram @carmelriverschool for our event calendar, volunteer opportunities, meeting information, photos, and campus highlights.
Get Involved - If you've ever wondered how to get involved, we'd love to welcome you. Whether you have an hour to spare, want to help at an event, or would like to co-chair a committee with a friend, there's a way for everyone to get involved.
As we begin the school year, we're especially looking for Chairs for the Yearbook, Otter Spirit Gear, and the Neon Glow Party. Be sure to check out our Get Involved Flyer or visit our website to learn more—we'd love to help you find the opportunity that's right for you.
Mark Your Calendar - We hope you'll join us at one of our upcoming events, introduce yourself, and discover all the wonderful ways to be part of the River School community.
● Thursday, August 6 – First Day PTO Parent Meet-Up | 8:45 AM | CRS Garden
● Monday, August 17 – CRS PTO General Meeting #1 | 8:45 AM | Ottertorium

Looking Forward - The annual CRS PTO Fundraiser will continue this year, with a fundraising goal of $65,000 in the month of September. This is our primary fundraising effort for the entire year and will directly fund curriculum enhancements, staff support, and community-building events throughout the year.
